Jan. 4th, 2006 Gateway

            The TNT Liquidators Falcons played the Associated Wolves.  Stephen St. Clair put the Falcons on the board on a back hand set up by Jason Scheer and Vincenzo Capezza.  (For those who know “Gretzky” this was his first ever league goal)  The Wolves bounced back with two goals by Adam Su on fine passes by Thomas Connors, Nicholas Felicetti, Brian Esposito and Connor Doxey.

            Thomas Connors blasted a shot off fine passes by Adam Su and Nicholas Felicetti.  Matt Sweeney tipped in a shot by Kyle Marzalkiewicz, who got the puck from Vincenzo Capezza for the Falcons.

            In the second period, Adam Su one-timed a pass by Nicholas Felicetti to put the Wolves up 4-2.  Nicholas Donohue did an excellent job in net for the Falcons to stop any more scoring.  Matt Sweeney put on a solo effort for the Falcons to cut the score to 4-3 but Andrew Braun was too tough in goal for the Wolves as the score ended 4-3 in favor of the Wolves.

            In the Peewee Division, The DePhillips Sports Mighty Ducks played the Gebhardt’s Restaurant Bandits.  The Bandits jumped on the board first as Chris St. Clair tipped in a shot by Connor Vidasolo, who scored on fine passing by Stephen Greene and Patrick Schmid.  Conor Newton came up large with his first goal of the season and put the Bandits up 3-0.

            The Mighty Ducks responded in the second period as Timmy Conway and Andrew Prizzi scored and assisted on each other’s goals.  Timmy Lazaroff had 26 saves for the Bandits and Patrick Lynn did a fine job for the Ducks in goal. 

            In the third period, the Bandits busted out with two goals each by Kevin D’Amico and Chris St. Clair as each one added two assists.  Connor Vidasolo scored on an assist by Conor Newton for the Bandits.  Terence Guidal scored on a fine pass by Peter Shevlin for the Ducks but the Bandits prevailed with a 9-3 victory.

            In the Bantam Division, the Equipment Room Flames played the Floral Park P.B.A. Wolfpack.  James D’Amico did an end to end to put the Flames up.  Ryan Grant answered answered for the Wolfpack with help from Grace Mulhall and John Groshans.  Garrett Conti stole the puck and wrist handed to put the Flames up 2-1.

            Carrie Mulhall tipped in a rebound off a Ryan Grant shot for the Wolfpack to tie the score.  Andrew Viscusi was solid in goal for the Flames with 16 saves.  Kevin Konzelman had 23 saves for the Wolfpack.  Garrett Conti scored on a pass by James D’Amico for the winning goal as the Flames won 3-2.
