Floral Park Screaming Eagles

            In the squirts Division, the Commerce Bank Robins played the TNT Liquidator Falcons. 

Jason Scheer scored on a fine pass by Matt Sweeney to put the Falcons up 1-0.  Logan Pietroforte scored his league leading 20th goal assisted by Liam Halloran to tie the score at 1.  Jason Scheer added another goal and Matt Sweeney pumped in two goals assisted by Stephen St. Clair and Kyle Marzalkiewicz for the Falcons.

            The Robins added goals by Anthony Calo and Liam Halloran assisted by K. Capezza, but lost to the Flames 4-3.

            The Allstate Insurance Crunch played the Associated Wolves.  Jason Reed put the Crunch on top 1-0 on a fine pass by Shannon McLaughlin.  Adam Su answered with two consecutive goals for the Wolves, both assisted by Nicholas Felicetti, who closed the door to put the Wolves up 3-1 on a tip in off  Adam Su.  Andrew Braun had 20 saves in the goal for the Wolves as John Ryan stopped 12 shots for the Crunch.

            In the Peewee Division, the North Fork Bulldogs played the Red Door Real Estate Barons.  Jocelyn Penteck poured in a hat trick in the first period for the Bulldogs.  Jason Doyle and Paul Doherty added goals for the Bulldogs.  Adam Cieslewics pumped in a goalfor the Barons assisted by Timmy Drake.

            The girls teamed up for the Bulldogs as Toni Setaro scored on a pass by Jocelyn Penteck.  Alex Meisel added a goal to go along with his three assists as did Paul Doherty, who had two assists for the Bulldogs.  The Barons added two more goals by Ryan Perge to cut the score to 7-3 Bulldogs.

            In an all-out war, the L.I. Checker Cab Pirates played the ConKel Hawks.  The Pirates scored first as Kyle Brzoza passed to Patrick O’Grady, who tipped it in.  Andrew Thorndike got the Hawks on the board.  The period ended 3-1 Pirates as O’Grady scored and Justin Solly blasted in a slap shot.  Nicholas DeMartino put the Pirates up 4-1,  but Thorndike and Michael Carleo for the Hawks cut the score to 4-3.  Max Devane  responded for the Pirates as did O’Grady again to put the Pirates up 6-3.  The Hawks, down by three goals, were not out as Thomas Monahan stepped up and pumped in three goals for the Hawks to put the game into overtime, O’Grady again came up large for the Pirates as he scored his fifth goal of the game for the win.

            The final game on Saturday, the equipment Room Flames played the Floral Park P.B.A. Wolfpack.  It was a physical defensive game as the Flames got on the board first with league leading scorer Garrett Conti’s goal.  The Wolfpack fired back as John Groshan scored in a back-hand.  Brandon Franklin put the Flames back on top but not for long as Carrie Mulhall one timed a nice pass by Conor Doyle for the score.

            In the third period Craig Barry came up large for the Flames as he scored to break the tie.  James D’Amico scored twice on nice passes by Drew Viscusi and Danny Anacrelico.  Kevin Konzelman stopped 26 shots as Michael Ost stopped 36 shots for the Flames.
